The Zurich Classic prioritizes collaborating with local organizations to build an impactful sustainability program emphasizing environmental stewardship and community support. The tournament ensures its initiatives are deeply rooted in the unique needs of the New Orleans area by working closely with trusted partners. These partnerships empower the event to align with local expertise, champion creative reuse, and enhance sustainability practices while making a positive impact on the surrounding community.

In 2024, this commitment led to significant achievements, including the donation of 0.90 tons (1,800 lbs) of food to The New Orleans Mission. The Zurich Classic also recycled 14,000 oyster shells, equivalent to 2.10 tons, in collaboration with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, preserving critical coastal habitats. Composting efforts with Realcycle diverted 0.34 tons of organic waste, while 8.0 tons of wood were donated to The Green Project to support their salvage store and reuse initiatives. Additionally, 1.68 tons of glass were recycled through Glass Half Full, contributing to disaster relief and coastal restoration. These efforts highlight the Zurich Classic’s dedication to sustainability and its role as a catalyst for positive environmental and social impact.
