Related to SB 1383, Blue Strike worked with ReGen Monterey and Salinas Valley Recycles to develop, manage and oversee the first of its kind Edible Food Recovery Capacity Building Grant program, allocating $400K since 2022. Now in its 4th cycle, the project combines direct agency allocations with CalRecycle Local Assistance Grant funding to maximize benefits for local food rescue networks and build capacity for SB 1383 compliance.
